Nice shot of a bird I've never seen in the wild. Would it be possible to lift the shadows around the face to show the eye?

      G'day Mark

A beaut pic of a very colourful bird -- I have seen similar pics from the US mainland, but did not know that they were also in Hawaii

Looks like Northern Cardinals were introduced to the Hawaiian islands in the early 20th century. Nice shot.

Lovely shot and it looks very proud to be perched up high on what looks like volcanic rock. Striking colour. I agree about the eye being a bit dark - I would use Dodge to lift it. If you need a hand with Photoshop, just ask - I'm always around and I'm FREE! You can always us PM.

Nice pose and nice clean shot but the shaded front of the bird lets it down a bit. I don't know if you are able to brighten the shadows at all.

Good looking bird well captured I'm sure you will be able to lift those shadows a bit.
