wedgetail eagle: the side less seen

a bit of a novelty shot here, but I quite like it. late light here and I was going to try to work around to get a pic of it going, but it was obvious that it wasnt waiting for that cos of the magpies, I knew I was too close at that stage but no time to remove the tc so I took some pix anyhow.
if you look at the ruffled tail feathers, it suggests that this is a female and the damage is from nesting duties.
this is not the usual wedgie calendar shot you usually see around

Sometimes the "Back End" can produce a visually appealing shot Stephen. I have a similar angled shot of a horse with its tail up in the air - make for good conversation and some really good captions.

Lovely clear shot even if a slightly odd angle. Again my odd imagination is playing tricks but that rear view almost looks like an owls face with a punk hairdo. Sort of a pushme pullyou.
