a bit of a novelty shot here, but I quite like it. late light here and I was going to try to work around to get a pic of it going, but it was obvious that it wasnt waiting for that cos of the magpies, I knew I was too close at that stage but no time to remove the tc so I took some pix anyhow.
if you look at the ruffled tail feathers, it suggests that this is a female and the damage is from nesting duties.
