1. Backlit White Ibis. I've deliberately left it dark for a different look.


2. Magpie Goose. Yes the whites on its back are blown. Its takeoff took me by surprise and not really good enough to post.

4. Great Egret. It's standing on the Moorhen's nest

All good shots Alan. Even the magpie goose. I like the downward wing position and the way it's spreading the primary feathers. They can actually rotate those feathers to control flight - amazing.
#4 is an excellent shot with good detail and lighting spot on. It's gaze is fixated on something for sure. Looks good in its breeding plumage.

did well again here.
bit hard for me to go past the great egret in the breeding plumage
I think the ibis pic needs to lose the bright green plant rising from the log as I feel it ruins the darker mood of the shot. maybe the one coming in from lhs too

I had removed some of the green leaves from the image in Photoshop, but looks like I’ve exported the raw image by mistake.
