  • Fairy-wren

    A couple of these appeared to be gathering food for nestlings and one came quite close and I got quite a few shots.

    I think it's a Red-backed Fairy-wren but not too sure.

    Excellent shots. Really like pose in the last one.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

    Nice to see them close up Alan. Lovely light and the backgrounds make them pop. The little ones must be nearby

      Thanks Isac. Yes I think so but I didn’t go looking for it. Shortly after I took these a group of workers appeared with whipper-snipers and sprays - destroyed the peace and quiet.

      I hope you get to find the nest. Those workers should be made to use scissors for doing the grass

    Super set. Lovely smooth backgrounds to make the birds pop and great timing to catch them with the bugs. Agree No3 is the pick of the bunch.
