    did well with light at high iso,
    image appears to suffer from some camera shake to my eyes though

      Yea, I think the forum's low res does not help. On my Flickr page, the eyes are sharp, as the reflection shows. Also, maybe the feathers are a bit deceiving...

        They are a remarkable looking bird Mark. good portrait shot. Colour is great. Its beak gets lost a bit. Did you darken the background or was it like that? Perhaps a faster shutter speed might have given a bit more detail. The eye looks really sharp though. Well done.

          It looks a bit blurry on my end as well. Was it shot through glass at all? Otherwise its a great shot.
          Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

            Thanks for the comments. No glass but a quite dark birdhouse. Also a big crop. Dark, big crop, and MFT is not the best combination, but as said look at the Flickr original.

            Yes, the background was darkened considerably...
