Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

They are remarkable looking creatures and have that real cute appeal. #2 with some PP is my pick. The light was not helpful, but you got the shots - that's the important bit.

Difficult angle of the light and cluttered surroundings so well done getting these. Lifting shadows would probably help #1 and #2. I agree with Isac that #2 is the pick. Is this a separate shot at a crop of #1

#2 is a crop I liked it as the baby bird was curious and had its eyes open,

Superb set. I phot'd one years ago in Oz, my Dad spotted it outside his house.

Alas its the only owl I have ever photo'd.

          Well seen and caught..:-)

Unfortunately Mark, it's not an owl

Aaah, just read it up, their name suggests Owl like I think. Thanks for that info. Owls are still on my list, as are Nightjars..:-)

You're luckier than I am, I've not seen either.

Excellent shots. Really like the eye contact in the first two.

I liked the cropped version in #2. When the light is a bit harsh I like to subdue the glare parts a bit and give it some contrast with its background. I hope you don't mind the edit.

That's better I did wonder what you have in mind and thought that maybe my notepad needed adjustment. I just got home and put it on the computer screen and the adjustments lifted the image considerably. Thanks Isac. Doesn't that baby bird have a cheecky look about it.

You're welcome Hans. The baby frogmouths have a cute factor of about 11/10.

good work on seeing these. light not your friend though, but getting a baby is worth it
the rework by ISAC is good too, perhaps a tad overdone, but wouldnt be my much. again getting baby eyes is worth it though
