  • galah short final

    in the westerly wind this afternoon and not in the clearest position cos the lamb was threatening to mess it all up again for me.
    plenty of birds leaving a large gum tree and passing by where I was but couldnt get a pic to save myself.
    this galah was seen coming and I did have a decent look at him but not able to get him locked up further out. dropped behind a bush very briefly and out again and I was convinced I was behind him and took some pix. to my great surprise I got the last 2 pix I took .
    d5 600f4 1/6400 f8 iso 1600 about 95 percent of full frame.

    Excellent action and good wing spread Stephen. The light could have been better placed and the background is a bit busy, but from your description it sounds like you did well to get a pic at all.

      It came out really nice. I like the wing position you got.
      Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
