Looks like you have that setup working well Kevin. The backlight brings out the colour in the beak and texture in the feathers. Would have been nice to get all of the wings in #2..

I agree with Alan, you've done well with your TC. Some burst shots - using Tv mode could have produced some good wing shots in #2.

I recommend you try Faststone Image Viewer https://www.faststone.org/FSIVDownload.htm
Then use it to first view your images that are on your card. When you want to keep an images, just save it onto your hard drive (Ctrl + S)
You can also direct copy from your camera without using the card reader.

now you just gotta get on the right side of the light and you will be in business.
not sure I have ever used shutter priority myself. prefer either manual or aperture priority. I do however keep an eye on the shutter speed being offereed to me to ensure it is suitable for the task at hand. well done

Thanks, the light was dictated by the subject being in a small pool that is fenced off so only limited spots to stand, I use AV most of the time.
