  • Dusky Moorhen and chicks

    I spent a couple of hours wandering around Tygum Park this morning and these are a few of the Dusky Moorhen shots.

    A few adults were feeding with a few babies out in the lake. When a passer-by dropped some feed the adults raced over and left the chicks. They soon went back to them.

    Love the chick in the last picture. Has a wise look about it. What about the bubbles? Not fracking the place?

      Thanks Hans. No fracking near here, but I do wonder what is in the water and mud of these suburban lakes. The birds seem to cope, and people fish here.

    Great set Alan. I like the little blue patches on the brow of the bubs. I can see some good captions for these ones

    Excellent shots. Really like the interaction in the 2nd one.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
