  • juvenile fan tailed cuckoo

    surprised to see this bird. light was terrible behind it so I was using about +4EV. fully white behind it.
    initially shot to confirm ID as it was a big crop too. like 1/8 frame or something.
    to my great surprise there was way more details in the pic than I would have thought.
    eye ring shows it as this species.

    white sky replaced with something similar to what was around at the time.

    Nice shot considering the conditions. Not great weather for Birding on the East coast for a few days.
    C+C,EDITS OK
    I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.

            I do find the PS sky replacement very handy sometimes. I also use it to get the masks it creates, to add to other filters, like hue/sat, curves, gradients etc.
