Good series Kevin. The pelican is my pick of these.
Excellent detail in the first but the light looks a bit unusual - it has a bit of an HDR feel to it. Did you lift the shadows?
The 4th look like Cotton Pygmy Geese. I've only seen these around here once - although that doesn't mean much.

All good shots Kevin. I've never seen those birds in #4 before. You'll have to get back there and get some close ups.
I agree about the light in #1. I checked the exif to see if you used the flash. As many will attest to here, I do like to see what's in those shadows.
I do like the pelicans too. I haven't seen them for a few years here - they were always popping in for a visit.I Shoot A Canon
