  • yellowtailed black cockatoo male flyby

    another in the sequence from my encounter with the yellow tailed black cockatoo.
    this one was just after he peeled off. dud light but this made it like a big softbox.
    had to turn up iso to get some shutter speed.
    d5 1/2000 f5.6 iso 3200 about 85 percent of full frame.

    Excellent shot Stephen, with the colour in the spread tail, the spread wings and a great angle with the bird facing slightly towards the camera.

    It's definitely watching you Stephen. Lovely colours and action. I've stood in a flight aviary at Kaarakin and they watch you all the way as they fly past.

        Stunning shot and beautiful bird.
