  • Yellow-rumped Warbler

    Another common resident around here. There was maybe 12 or so in a group of trees I was trying to photograph and this one was the only one that stood still for more than 5 seconds.

    Beautiful light and nice and sharp, but that light has also given the bright and contrasty background and environment which I think is rather distracting.

    Pretty bright light but still good to get the shot. It looks a cute tiny bird.

      They're fairly small (14cm) but not our smallest.

    cute little bird.
    light looks quite bright. birds breast looks particularly bright bordering on blown, some highlight reduction there would likely help here.
    would be tempted to remove the twig below the bird leading out of frame too.
    would give you a natural framing of the bird and lift it a bit
    the shot is a bit busy but that is where the bird is,
