  • Eurasian Coot & young ones

Went for a walk and it was a long walk and when I got to the place I wanted to be at I found I had wasted my time.
Though the walk to there I had to go past the wetland in front of my place and this is where I got these shots.
I was quite happy to see that the young birds had come out quite okay.

1 = I turned to the water and seen the family and there are 3 chicks

Thanks for that, my wish would of being able to get the other parent bird in the shot, but I was a little too far off.

I got mega lucky today with the yellow tailed cocky. was ready to take a pic and off he flew, just had to hold button down to get a decent burst. he could have flown in any direction too, but gave me exactly what I might want. getting out often increases your chances of good luck though

We have got Budgies back in our area and they are in groups of about 20 or so.
Just have to find them as it is so unusual as they are not making much noise, so it really is you hunting for them.
Will post up a few shots once I have got to them.
