  • Kingfishers

I could hear Kingfishers calling wherever I went at Eagleby this morning, but most stayed hidden in the trees.

Very nice. Those first two are quite vibrant.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

Thanks David. The Kookaburras make up in size for what they lack in colour.

Beautiful colours on these birds Alan. I'd just remove the strand in from of the bird in #1. The rest are fine just posing on their branches. The framing is good as always and they were all obedient in looking from left to right

Thanks Isac. It seems I have them under control at last.

    good work on these.
I agree with removing the strand on the first pic.
not really see kookaburras down here. prefiously you were almost beating them off with a stick.
do have a few sacreds though. found a nest down the back a while ago but still too wet to get there.
the natural vignette around the kooka looks good also.
you could even crop this closer if you wished for added effect

Thanks Stephen. The Kooka is already a decent crop, so hesitate to crop any more. I have seen a few possible Kingfisher nest holes in termite nests at this site but have yet to see a bird at them.
