Looks like you needed to move your focus more the the left as the head and eye are not as in focused as some parts of the beak and tail end of it.

I like the pose. I think Ralf has a point on the focus being slightly off.

Nice shot Isac, and the water drops are good. I think Ralph is correct about the focus but I wouldn’t have noticed it until it was pointed out to me.

Thanks Ralph. The bird was 75 metres away and I was at 400mm so not the best scenario to get perfection. I just liked the pose. I'll watch for that next time but with cheap equipment it can be a struggle sometimes.

Cheers David, the pose is what attracted me to the shot - it looked so very relaxing.

Cheers Alan. I liked how it was just sitting there preening, so worth a shot I reckon. The swans haven't stuck around for years now so this may be a good sign - they've been here for several weeks now.

Great timing catching the water droplets and a great result considering the distance and gear, my Tammy wouldn`t do any better at 600mm, nicely done.

Thanks Kevin. They are graceful birds and it's nice to get a shot when they are just relaxing with a good pose.

good action captured here. water drops are a bonus.
focus looks behind the eye but not drastically so. perhaps some selective sharpening on the eye would sort that.
            well done

Thanks for that Stephen, I reworked it and came up with this. A few subtle changes.
