  • Eurasian Coots

    # 1 - One of the babies. It's gone from being a pot scourer to having a nice fluffy coat. I i9ncluded the reeds just for some colour and effect.

    Nice shots. Really like that second one with the parent and chick.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

      Thanks David. The bubs are so tiny and fluffy, it's difficult to get good detail.

      In his defense on these it can be done but they are so hard to get that to happen for some reason.
      I am not sure if it is to do with the hair like feathers on the head that makes it so much harder to get what you have said.
      But I have tried so many times and end up with shot just like this even with the sun on the chicks face.

    nice cute captures.
    first one could do with some light in the eyes. possibly made to look worse by the downward angle on the shot.
    2nd shot makes up for all that though. good action with mother and bub. good work
