  • welcome swallow gathering mud

saw this swallow on the ground yesterday and thru the lens I could see it was gathering mud.
2nd time it came back to same spot I moved as best as I could to get an angle on it, assuming it came again.
it came a few more times. they are clearly building a nest somewhere, that hasnt been found yet.
light was lousy and it was wet

mouth full of mud ready to take back to where the nest is being constructed.

They are great to watch in flight too. Lovely capture and good timing. I'd brighten the head a tad with dodging but I'm fussy like that.

Excellent shot. Brightening up helps it quite a bit.

Being totally serious the background doesn't look as smooth as it could be to me. And I do find it a little distracting. in both shots.
