    Lovely bird and photos.

    Are they fairly tame, and let you get close to photo?

      No they are wild birds. Kookaburras are fearless. I have even had them take food from my hand as it has been within inches of my mouth as I was eating. This one lives around here and comes to loom for food every day at least a couple of times, it is happy for me to get within about two metres no problems.

    Nice shots and good work getting it with the prey. The first could perhaps do with a shadows lift.

        Excellent shots. Really like that second one.
        Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
