  • Red-browed Finches - again

    These pretty little birds put in an appearance again but didn't quite come into the open. I obtained these by just standing and waiting where I had seen them before, and they turned up after a few minutes.

    I toned the background down slightly in these.

    All with Nikon D800, Nikkor 500mm PF f/5.6.

    Great set. Such a beautiful little bird.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

    Good work Alan, They probably turned up to see who the tog was. I like the BG effort - makes the birds pop.

    good series here in nice light.
    I prefer the simpler less cluttered background on the first one

      Thanks. I’m not really happy with any of the backgrounds, but there is no choice in this particular spot.
