Lovely images. Is such a large family normal or are there two groups together?

        G'day Isac

        Images are beaut ...
Q- are all the chicks from one set of parents? or
do the ducks "gather up" multiple sets of chicks into a cluster so that adults can feed and later exchange parental duties?

Excellent shots. Really like that last one.

Thanks guys. I've never seen so many together but there's a few interested parties on the bank of the lake very interested in the proceedings so I'd assume a group effort.

another nice series of images. first is let down a tad with the distraction in the water,
              but like the other two.
2nd show also shows that sometimes you dont need to see the eye to have a good image

and of course the last one shows off the happy family.

have seen wood ducks and pacific black ducks with quite large clutches, so this isnt unusual at all.
              well done

Thanks for the CC Stephen. I edited #1. It's sad that the bubs didn't survive. They make for great subjects as they get bigger.
