  • Superb Fairy Wrens

    I met up with Grumpy John at Tygum Park this morning and had a wander around. Great to meet up on a beautiful sunny morning after a couple days of showers. The birds were a bit scarce but I managed to get a few keepers.

    The male was kind enough to pose on perches with fairly clear backgrounds.

    did well with these. great details in the male too.
    a little more head turn from the female would have lifted that shot too

      Thanks Stephen. Yes the female wouldn't cooperate - most of the shots were her rear end.

    Lovely images Alan. I prefer the image in the shade. It seems to have a better exposure with no immediate effect from sunlight, which to me shows much more detail.
    Say G'day to John for me and I'm sure he will be enjoying his visit. I'll wait for his efforts in a later post

    Excellent shot. I really like that first one (colors are a little more punchy). Cute little bird.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
