  • willy wingspread

this was a kind of macgyver moment.
the willy was on the ground dust bathing or something and stood up so I took a pic, and it jumped when I did so.
I wondered what it may do if I aimed above it and cracked off a burst. the burst noise did scare it off and it flew exactly where I had wanted and I got this
quoting another tv show line, I love it when a plan comes together.

Is there a photo to go with this story or is it just a story?

Hi Ralph, sometimes when images don't appear and you think there should be one displayed, press CTRL and F5 to reload the page. It does happen on the odd occasion and this is generally a quick fix.

Both images visible for me Stephen. Beautifully executed shot and 1/5000 ss to freeze that fast wing action.
I recall hearing Hannibal Smith (the A-Team) saying those words on more than one occasion.

since removed the image from the first post and added in ms edge. now all my browsers show both. 2nd time this has happened to me in last few weeks. weird

Seeing both. That one is a ballarina. I have just planted some garlic. I think some bird attracting bushes may be in order.

Better a full bottle in front of me
          than a full frontal lobotomy.

sure cant hurt. the garlic will likely keep the vampires away too
even something so simple as a bird bath can help, depending on how much other water is around.
plenty of stuff for birds where we are now too.
