  • criimson rosella in light rain

    raining again today so shot this from verandah of house.
    few birds visited today to destroy my newly budding maples
    this one flew almost too close so had to turn camera vertically to fit it in with some sort of composition

    Beautiful shot. Really like the colors.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

        I liked the background of this one, somewhat unusual but interesting none the less.
        a tree top around 50m away, then hills maybe 600m away then the grey or white sky at the top. each with kinda crossing lines but far enough back to not be too big a distraction

        and lots of these things around destroying the maple buds too......

          Some of our parrots are quite destructive but they are still beautiful birds.

          not sure these things are too concerned at that range. lots of things not like you moving closer etc but so long as you not moving too much, they go about their business. the corellas seem the most skitish around here, maybe cos they not around so often and not realise I come in peace yet
