  • immature golden whistler

    saw this guy along the creek having a bit of a bath. light pretty lousy in the forest so iso up a bit
    d5 600f4 tc 17 (1000mm) 1/1000, 1/1600 f8 iso 6400
    both quite busy in the background. left for habitat

    Very nice Stephen. The light might have been poor but it has given lovely soft colours. Backgrounds are a bit busy but doesn't bother me in #1 as there is sufficient colour contrast with the bird. In #2, I do find the bit of branch behind the birds head is a bit distracting.

          Nice shots. First one is my pick of the two due to the contrast with the background.
          Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
