  • Welcome Swallow

Early this month I went for a walk over the road to the wetlands and I was lucky to have this one land on one of the footbridge footings
Bending as much as I could over the rail and there it was still sitting there.

Beautiful shots. Not often you see these guys just sitting around.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

On this occasion I stood on the foot bridge and watched the pair zooming under and over the top of the thing and then this one landed and I was this time quick enough to get the shots.

It's nice to get them just having a spell. They have great colours and have that "fearless" look on their faces like the willie wagtails. #2 for me.

I know these ones here do this and one time there was a large weed growing close by where the fledgling sat and opened mouthed as the parents flew by. So I now have to wait for Gen 2 to come but I will have to find their new begging spot.
I will have to have a closer look at the Willy Wagtail and these to see if I can pick out what you have said.

They should be called Swifts and not Swallow as they are so swift in their movement.
In this lot of shots I even caught shot of them resting in the reeds which was a 1st for me and I was happy to get them there as well.
