  • currawong and rosella fight

    you often see the assorted birds here squabbling over one thing or another.
    this pic is somewhat of a fluke, arising from the spray and pray technique. and a high frame rate helps there.
    I got a burst of this but only this pic had 2 sets of eyes and stuff.

      Excellent shot Stephen, great action and nice and sharp. I think action shots like this almost always involve some degree of spray and pray as the movement is so unpredictable.

        Excellent shot. Quite a nice "accident" to have.
        Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

          not an accident per se, I saw what was going on and pointed camera with the button held down. just lucky that there was this shot among the pix. thanks for kind words also

        These birds are protective of their area and clash often. Lovely action shot and great colours. We get much the same with our 28 parrots and Ping and Grey galahs - always fighting over the bird boxes that are scattered around our lake.
