  • A couple more from Eagleby on Wednesday

Just a couple of perched birds and I already have plenty of shots of these, but what else can you do when they pose for you.

Both with Nikon D800 and Nikkor 500mm PF f/5.6

Both gorgeous birds and as usual very well displayed by a master birder. Excellent lighting in both Alan. I do love a good willy shot. They're always punching above their weight and nothing seems to scare them.

there are plenty of details in both of these.
I prefer the coloring on the fairy wren the best. ideally the perch not thru the body would be way better, but bird details are very nice.

the willie has good details too.
appearing to have a slight head turn away from the camera and I perceive that it is up hill a bit. perhaps a little bit of shadow lift in the tail area wouldnt hurt either.
    nice pix

Thanks Stephen. Yes the Willie was a bit high but not too extreme for me to try a shot.

Both images are well composed. I'd print it this minute

Thanks Paolo. I do print a few, and do myself a book occasionally.
