Went out and was walking about the trees and quite high weeds as we have had a lot of rain our way.
When this Jacky Winter showed up and then flew to be right in front of me.

I Just flew over and sat there


2 I took a few more shots and it then repositioned itself

Thanks for that and I was out birding on this day so the camera was really close by and this one just flew to be in front of me.

I prefer how the light catches its eye in the 2nd pic. both have decent details and light on the bird. ideally a nicer background would have lifted these, but doesnt appear to have been an option. good work

These were taken under the cover of a lot of taller tree's and branches covered with leafs. So the light was not as I would have liked it but I am big on going with what I have got and this is what I had on the day.

Nice shots Ralph. I also prefer #2 because of the better light on the eye and I think it is a little sharper, showing better feather detail.
