these are one of my favourite small birds. a little while back there was a pair hanging around with a flock of yellow rumped thornbills. I saw them every day and then they just vanished.
spent a lot of time after them. they were perching in a bare maple tree closely watching the garden, pouncing on anything edible. sometimes they were in clear spots, sometimes not but watching them you often got a shot. got heaps of them whilst around so am a happy camper. I wanted a wing extended pic or flight but they were just too jumpy.
