    there are often quite a few of these around here. so in the late arvo, and if you got a NW wind these things not moving so fast and in decent light.

    What I normally do with busy backgrounds is to blur it a tad bit to smooth it out

      Beautiful image Stephen with that wonderful backlight on the spread wings. The background is a little busy but, for me, not enough to distract from the subject. Personally, I prefer to leave backgrounds as shot unless they are really bad.

        thanks mate. background is as shot here too. I let the lens do its thing. interesting perspective from others. I thought it was ok, but am in minority here..........
        left as it is cos I didnt mind it and am lazy.

      I am a big believer in post it how it is shot well to a limit that is. This one posted as it is needs no work done to it what so ever.
      So on that note you are not being lazy here you have done it how you wanted it and it's up to other to accept it for what it is.
