These birds only pass through my area on migration. We get a couple of week in spring then a couple of weeks now to grab a few shots. These were taken yesterday on the local hills.

Very impressed Phill. The R7 seems to be giving your great results. I love the warm colours and that bokeh is superb.

I agree with Isac the R7 is giving great results. If I ever have a need to make an insurance claim on my 7DII I think it will be getting replaced with the R7. BTW does the R7 save GPS coordinated like the 7DII?

    G'day Phill

#2 is a real grabber to my eyes - I like the fruit just waiting to be tasted ... and as Isac says--the bokeh is "reel beaut"

Good poses, nicely framed and they look sharp. Like Isac, I like the warm tones but I'm wondering if there is a bit of a brown/orange cast, particularly in #1.

Thanks. The cast is probably because we are in a drought at the moment so everything the light is being reflected off is brown. The blackberry bushes are probably the only thing with any green left. Hopefully it will rain soon. I may give the images a tweak.

First off I must say that your images are fantastic, tack sharp and beautifully presented. Secondly, living in the driest inhabited continent I feel for you guys up over going through the current drought.

Thanks. The drought here isn’t too bad compared to the flooding Pakistan are facing. Not as bad as the fires and floods Aus has experienced. Most of my family live down under and we were really worried about some of them in the recent Queensland flooding. The rest live in Adelaide where nothing happens.
