Hybrid Ducks

While in Renmark S.A. we were on the riverfront and I seen these mixed breed ducks.

1 I think this is the male

2 and this one being the female

3 the 2 of them together

4 yet another pair

5 and a close of the female as I am guessing

Lovely assortment of mixed breeds Ralph. Apparently, ducks are that way inclined - a bit like other animals, humans included

Thanks again and I do think it adds to interest in them. I only just found out that many of the Pacific Black Ducks are hybrids.
Due to the fact they are supposed to have grey legs but many have got orange legs making them hybrids as well but now I know I will watch more carefully.

From what I see, the Pacific's have a bit of a crush on mallards and because they are many I suppose they will flirt with all varieties

From what I read it is the Mallard that is happy to mix but then again it takes 2 to tango. But I did read yep thats right I did read that the Mallard and Muscovy are yet another one with with mix with either one of them. So you could have a Pacific Black Duck cross with a Mallard and Mucovy Duck.
This is just nature working on making a stronger duck for the situation I think. Yes I know the other 2 are bought in ducks but it is just what I said nature at work.
