  • A Squadron of Cormorants on the move

    G'day all

While I was enjoying the sunshine alongside a large lake, this flock of cormorants wheeled overhead

    As always, feedback welcome

Nice shot of the fast movers and it looks as if their numbers are increasing as well. Well done on this.

Well done Phil. I've only ever seen a few so this is new to me.

        Thanks fellas
This bunch were about half of the flock circling around the lagoon looking for somewhere to splash down

Well caught Phil. The Little Black Cormorants (I think these are) also fish in groups, and the action often attracts any Pelicans around who join the fun. At one site near here I've seen twenty or so cormorants and three or four pelicans chasing fish.
