  • Whistling Kite

On the Renmark (South Australia) riverfront I seen the Whistling kite which isn't unusual as we have them at home to but in a new place so I got the shots I wanted.
I do struggle with inflight shots and it is one area I would like to get much better at.

A beaut collection of images - I am impressed with the sharpness and feather detail ... that lens combo of yours is working 'real beaut mate'

Phil thank you for what you have said it does mean a lot to me when you say such things.

Great shots Ralph. Lovely detail and colours on the whistlers. I saw plenty of these on my Murray River cruise and got lots of shots of them in flight. They love to dive into the river and catch fish.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks mate and I live so close to the river here in Mildura and I know where a breeding pair of them are and I am yet to capture a shot of one of them doing a dive. I have always been too slow. I think I watch and then remember why I am there but then it is all over.

You'll just have to pretend you're a piece of grass, lay down, set your camera and wait - it will happen!

Yer I get amazed watching and just forget I have my camera. One day the penny will drop and I will get ready and stop watching.
Working...
