Flaps down - brakes on

G'day all

This Heron was coming in to land in the water grasses - until it saw me and suddenly U-turned and went elsewhere. It later returned and pottered around

exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/4000s x F8,0; ISO-800; lens at 20x zoom / 480mm FFequiv

Take-off

exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/2000s x F4,5; ISO-160; lens at 20x zoom / 480mm FFequiv

Well captured Phil. They are quite majestic in flight. Good settings to freeze the action. I think it's a Great White Egret.
