  • Bird Photography Camera Settings

I'm a member of Digital Photography School and I found this article interesting for Bird Photographers.

Some may know that I like to have 100% control of my shutter speed when shooting birds therefore I use Manual or Shutter Priority and NOT Aperture Priority, because if the camera chooses a slow shutter, I get a blurry shot and it's lost. With a set shutter speed (1/500th for still and up to 1/4000 for BIF) I get more keepers by having sharp images for editing.
It gives me better results and I know a lot still prefer AP. I did notice a reference to Back Button Focus and that's been set on my cameras for the last decade. No more half press for focusing for me
    This is the article HERE.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
