Getting late for the Birds

Never have I tried to take bird shots under these conditions. It was close to 5 pm and there were dark grey. So never being in this sort of position I put my camera to Auto.
Looking through the view finder and then the actual screen the shots were looking very dark. But this did teach me that if there is a next time to use the ISO to get the shots.
So for me this was a worth while learning exercise into low light photography and I think far different than taking images of the Moon late at night.
All images were adjusted in the stand alone CS6 Photoshop.

Beautiful photos Ralph. Very good detail in all of them. Not a safe place to be, looking up at the muddie's backside

There is a solid path way on one side of all the pond in the area, but who stays on the pathways, not me for one.
So if you took a tumble you have only got yourself to blame.
But as for the photo's it was an interesting time as I have not tried this lowlight thing.
Though it did teach me, I think anyway that if I go to manual to watch my ISO.

I cap my ISO to 1600 and sometimes it reaches that if my shutter is too fast for the available light, but with today's cameras that high ISO is still acceptable in a lot of images.
