  • Red-capped Robin

On a day where I wondered if I would make it into where I wanted to go or not.
It worked out not as there was so much water on the track.
So I had to a park and walked to where I wanted to be and where I found these Red-capped Robins.

Wow! They are a beautiful bird Ralph. I've not seen these before so thanks for posting. That red is really striking and you've captured them very well. Nicely presented.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

These can give you the run around but if you are lucky you can stand in one place and they will come to see just what you are.
And this is when it is really good but this day he wasn't in that mood and I had to follow him about. Thanks for your comments and I am pleased to be able to show you a new bird.

Lovely images Ralph, do you have to travel far from home to get to this location?

It is a 15 minute drive from home. Just over the bridge into NSW and then it is a 10 minute drive down to the place called the Kelso Block.

They are a very pretty bird. Very nicely captured.
Better a full bottle in front of me

And they can be very inquisitive as well if you stay in the one place while they are about.
