  • Pied Cormorant

Here's a couple of images from the new RF 24-240 lens. Conditions were terrible with strong gusty winds and bad light due to heavy clouds.

    G'day GJ

Well- the conditions may have been terrible -- but the images certainly aren't
I particularly like #2 for the face/eye and other detail

Thanks for the kind words Phil, the wind was gusting throughout the day and it shows in the ruffled feathers.

You're getting great results with that new gear John. Sharp and good colour. Framing I like too. Framing is a "thing" with me. There's no excuse with editing tools nowadays to get good framing and presentation and you've presented these well. I reckon #1 could do with a bit of D&B to lift those dark parts though. All in all the gear seems to be working out well for you - plus the tog skills of course.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Very nice John. #2 stands out for me. It's really grabs your attention. Others are good too, but #1 needs a bit more light on the eye while #3 is well lit but the bg is a little distracting. They all look nice and close for a 240mm lens.

The shot where this one one turning around or should I say turning it head has got me the most.
Think its such a good shot.
