I have not been lucky enough to get these as yet due to them being in the middle of the ponds/lakes.
My 400mm lens just doesn't work to well but one day I will get them.
Unusual looking buggers at that to.
My wife knows the story and she knows it off by heart. It goes like this, If I had a 600mm lens these shots would be far better than what they are now.
So I am doing my best to get a bigger lens and it will happen but I just don't know when But I will keep the 400mm as it has proven itself to me to be a good lens if you work inside of its limit.
Cheers Alan. The variety we get here is quite amazing really, considering the small size of the lake. They appear in southwestern and southeastern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
