I like way the birds appear to have a spotlight on them, but are well exposed despite the darker background.

I think it is the way they have got the hide there set up so the morning sun is highlighting the area, as these are as taken.

The other morning whilst still in bed I heard a thump and on ispection found a noisy miner lying next to the backdoor. Thought it was gone as it didn't move. When I picked it up however it gripped my fingers with painful force and it took a bit of doing to put him on the table. It sat there with its beak openening and closing and I didn't give it much of a chance. The third time I looked after about half an hour it was gone so it bodes well.
You got it posed very nicely and the light adds to the image as well. Good timing.

I must say Ralph, you've got that lighting as though it's in a studio! Well done and those colours really pop.

As I did mention I think that is down to the actual hide set up. As the old fella I go out with had a fair bit to do with the set up and they have got a book there so you can see what bird you are looking at for the beginners and most shots are my mates. So I think I will give him the points on the set up.
