  • Galah and Magies

#1 - Nice to see a Galah again after they were scared off by the bees taking over their bird boxes.

    G'day Isac

A beaut series - and (like most of us) the closer we are to the bird, the better detail we can see too
#1 and #2 are goodies for me

Cheers Phil. The last was just to show the large number. Nowhere near the hundreds of Sulphies I saw on the Murray River on a Proud Mary cruise a few years back.

The Magpies are interesting you have mum and dad and two young ones that look a bit too far apart to have come out of the same nest. The galah is a pinup worthy of an admiring glance or two.
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

Thanks Hans. Mum is on the lowest branch and dad is up top. Kids are in the middle. It's sad that the PaG Galahs aren't nesting here any more. I don't see them much any more.

I am a fan of the common Galah maybe I might have a lot in common with them.
But it is a really good shot. The Young magpies and got a nice colouration at this age and are stand outs when shot closer up..
But when they are not in the mood you take what you can get But I think it is still a nice family shot.
Awhile back I got some shots of a flock of little Corella's and there was easy well into the 100 numbers in that flock.
So they are good to get when you see them in number like that and get proof of it as well.
Very well done on this lot.

A good set Isac. Nice pose and framing on the Galah and the Magpie group make an interesting shot. The Corellas are real characters and make great subjects.i
