you sure the 2nd image is a singing honey eater? looks like a brown honeyeater to me. hard to see the bill in this image but browns have the light triangle behind the eye. singing generally the black mask thru eye and also yellow under that. not seeing that in your image

You're correct Stephen. It's rare that I see the Brown in these parts so I've edited the post with the correct details. How's things going for you? We'd love to see some of you work.

it has been somewhat quieter for me. I damaged my rotator cuff in early 2020 and local doctors werent overly interested in getting it referred, take the pain pills and go away more or less. covid made it hard cos everyone wanted to do phone consults and you cant diagnose this that way. finally by some chicanery I got to see a specialist who also diagnosed a detached bicep and a few torn muscles etc. finally got it operated on after like 15 months. after the surgery I couldnt really use my camera for a good while either but more or less can now. I took pix whilst waiting for surgery etc. didnt venture too far and my 600f4 didnt get too much use compared to lighter stuff. generally worked on flight photography with the tripod etc cos that was usable with no arm. all in all things returning to normal around here now.
not sure if anyone would notice if I posted any pix or not.think it was only maybe you who did notice...........
anyhow that has been my tale of woe the last 2 years or so, but like I said usability is coming back to me etc

I feel for you Stephen, I've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders, left in 2020 and right in 2021, and I have 100% use of both arms again. I kept putting off the surgery on the left for ages, but the pain and discomfort trying to sleep at night got too much for me, so I eventually went under the knife. The most importent thing is do the physio for as long as needed or the surgery is wasted.
