  • Grey Currawong

Out at Hattah Kulkyne National Park with the wife just checking out the water in the lakes the wife seen a Crow in a tree behind us.
So I went to have a look and to get into a better position. And then I seen the eyes and I knew I wasn't looking at a Crow.
I was looking at a Grey Currawong and for the 1st time I have got one that I could completely see.

Well done getting a reasonably clear shot. We don't get these up here and I'd never actually heard of it before, so I've learned something new. Thanks.

Glad that you have now seen one they are quite big and got such a little voice on them for their size. Thanks for looking.

Very nice image. We used to have a family of Currawongs visit. They love peanuts.

Who said you can't learn something new everyday. I had no idea about the peanuts, Thanks.

Nice to get some good shot of birds in trees Ralph. Lovely abd sharp where it counts. Another species I haven't see but apparantly they can be found in the south-west of Western Australia. Thanks for posting.

I followed a pair only yesterday but they would stay about 3 tree's in front of me all the time. So I had a long walk back to the car once I gave up.
