Forest Redtail Black Cockatoos

Great birds, endemic to Southwest WA. These Forest Redtail Black Cockatoos are on the endangered species list and really need help to survive.
These images were taken with the Canon 7Dii and Tamron 18-400 lens.

Wide shot is 18mm.

Cheers mate. We've had a few varieties depart since they started roadworks next to the lake. I don't see any more Pelicans, Swans, Pink Eared Ducks Mallards - I hope they come back in the future. I won't be getting rid of the lens any time soon.

My wife couldn't help herself, she had to have a crack at the cockie.
The blue background is pastel applied with a sponge and the bird was done with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencil.

Beautiful shots Isac. I saw some of our Red-tailed Black Cockatoos when I was up north a month ago but couldn't get a clear shot or one without bright clouds behind them on an overcast day. Disappointing as I would like some better shots of them.
