Not sure what the temp was Phil. Sometimes these guys are the only ones on the lake and they look so tiny out in the middle.

Thanks Hans. I find the grebes very difficult to get a good shot of. They don't come near and they are so small, it's hard to get good detail. BUT - I will keep trying.

They are cute,I have one on my Lake and he likes to keep his distance.

I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.

Thanks Kevin. They are the most timid of all our ducks, they don't like to be close to us at all. Long lens is a must.

Good colour and detail Isac with good eye contact. If you can get them close enough, they do make great subjects.
