Thank you Phil, I guess you're having a quiet morning at home?
Until this season I'd never heard of them or seen them and now they are permanent residents.
I'm fascinated by these "Zebra Ducks". They feed on plankton mostly and they have the most wonderful method of feeding.
      Check this out.

Particularly like the two Mallard pictures. Lovely texture in the water on the first.

Thank you kind sir. The water is something we often don't seem to appreciate or even notice. It can be quite interesting at times. Thanks for the observation.

This is a couple of zebra ducks swirling around to stir up the tucker and bring it to the surface.

Excellent shots Isac. I've never seen Pink-eared Ducks. All I see are Pacific Black Ducks and Hardhead with the occasional Whistling Duck.

Thanks Alan. We don't have the whistlers in WA so I've never seen them - plenty of pics but not in the flesh. They are rather different with that fan style plumage. The Pink Eared ducks are not so common in QLD and like the whistlers are very different. We are lucky here with a good variety. I keep all varieties in a spreadsheet and so far I have over 30 varieties of birds/ducks just local.
