This one didn't seem to worry about me walking up to it for a closer shot about 2 metres away. They are so common but I still think they are cute.

I do like it a lot Phil. It's all I use nowadays. 18-400 covers all I need. I was thinking about getting a 1.4x extender (or even a 2x) but not until I try one out at a camera shop. -

No- No - NO ..... extenders are designed to work with primes or zooms of 3x or thereabouts ~ not zooms of 20x
The falloff in IQ will be enormous
